MyNewForest Blog Documents Reforestation Effort
A co-worker of mine recently had 24,000 trees planted on a retired 60-acre farm. She also started MyNewForest, a blog to document the transformation of this land from typical Midwestern farmland to a teeming forest of native deciduous and evergreen trees.
Here's a map of the land -- the tree planting space is outlined in yellow:
It should be interesting to track this effort and compare what it looks like in 20 years to the images she took just before and during the planting last month.
