Get ClearSync to Share Contacts and Calendar Data

clearsync1.gifClearSync, the service that lets folks share their calendars and contacts data with others, has recently relaunched (it was once upon a time called WeSync) with many improvements.

In a nutshell, ClearSync handles your calendar/datebook data and contacts/address data on your Palm OS device or Windows desktop and lets you selectively share those data with others. Those "others" can either view (and edit, if you so choose) your data on their Palms or Treos or desktop PCs (Windows only), or they can use their browser (virtually any OS) to view (not edit) your calendar and contacts.

The screenshot to the right is one of the calendar views on a high-res Treo -- it lets you see one calendar (e.g., your own) side-by-side another calendar (e.g., your spouse's). These get updated every HotSync or, if used on a wireless device, wirelessly via direct connection to the ClearSync server.

This type of setup is perfect for busy couples, business partners, and other pairs and groups needing to coordinate across corporate lines or outside of a business setting (e.g., softball teams, Boy Scout troops, bowling leagues, bridge clubs, extended families, etc.).

I don't use my Palm calendar and can't sync my work calendar due to confidentiality. But I am using a google calendar. It's easy enough that my wife got on board as well with her own google calendar.

Ya, I like the idea of Google calendars, too, but having to sit in front of an actual computer just to see my/our schedules is just too inconvenient. The cool thing about ClearSync is that it does everything that Google Calendars does *and* it works on your Palm. Plus, Google doesn't offer any way to share address/phone info, so keeping the latest phone number for, say, your friends outside DC becomes harder. ;-)

It's shares contact info, as well? kewl.

Yeah. I can't get all that Ajax-lovin' Gcal goodness on Blazer or OperaMini (though operamini did work its fingers to the bone trying!) I guess I could use a third-party app to sync Gcal to my palm.

You know of one?

Gcal is out for a while and i am yet to see a good application to sync it with my mobile. There are altrenatives for Palm but none that actually 'works'. Just started using Zyb a free sync for mobiles. They also seem to have plans for Gcal integration and Synthesis
client can be used for Palm. Can someone guide us better here?
