Interesting Camcorder Disguised as a Clock
I was thumbing through the SkyMall on a flight this past weekend and came across a device that looks kinda nifty: the Sharper Image "What Really Happened While You Were Away!" Secret Security Camcorder (pictured).
Basically, this digital clock contains a a motion-sensor and camera that captures QVGA (320x240) video whenever it detects activity. It can store video (in handy DivX files) either on its internal 64MB of memory or on removable SD/MMC cards (which can hold up to 3 hours of video files). Watch videos via USB or by using a card reader on your PC. The Sharper Image website has a video showing some actual recorded footage, which looks pretty decent.
I've no experience using this thing -- at $200, it exceeded my price limit for non-essential impulse purchases -- but am wondering if anyone out there has used it and liked/disliked it.
