Don't rush back to the horse. While utter self-indulgence in the sorrow of 97X's demise would be irresponsible, it's not necessarily unwarranted. Something less dramatic than that is still fine.

I'm not sure if you're checking the boards, but several people have been ripping the A-to-X and other portions from the last week or so, and there is a movement to aggregate them into DVDs or CDs. For the future...well, there's www.kexp.org, out of Seattle, which received a veritable swarm of 97X-patriots this morning (myself included). It's not 97X, but, even with Sledge behind the wheel, this horrible X97.7 station can't become 97X. Now I'm frothing.
