PalmOne has just released the update for the Tungsten T3. This update fixes the problems we've been experiencing with SD cards. You can download the file here. Thanks to Rik for pointing this out. I'll update this report after I apply the patch to see if it solves a number of problems I have had with my backup software.
UPDATE:
I applied the patch, and now everything is working great. Now I feel like I'm back in Paradise again. By the way, if you installed the original Graffiti (G1) on top of G2, then make sure you don't restore these files after you update the T3. Take them out of the backup directory and then reinstall them when the device is restored to the previous condition.
Thank you, Palm, for making my night!
I tried to install the T3 Update, and I get a message "This tool will not run on this device" when I try to run the file on my T3... Weird. Anyone have any ideas?
I heard that there is a new update posted early this morning. You might want to try that. Also I assume you have enough RAM left over in the device to run the update. Anyway, I had no problem running the update last night.
Could someone please tell me where this 2nd patch can be found. I only see one patch on PalmOne and it doesn't work for me. It will not install. Thanks
There is only one patch right now. I believe folks who have the International version of the T3 have had some difficulty updating their device. There is one method that's been going around, but if you are not comfortable with it, you might want to wait for the international version.
I have a 256MB Sandisk SD card. It worked for about 2 weeks and then it was corrupted. After that, I installed the T3 update but the card is still not recognized (by my T3 or my friend's T). Is my SD card damaged permanently?
You might need to format the card using the Cardinfo program (or other utilities). If that doesn't work, try to put into a card reader and try to format using a PC. If neither one works then, the card is probably defective.
