Ed Dutkiewicz is a patent attorney who apparently has spent a bit too much time poring over the patent records at the US Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Dutkiewicz has set up a website where he offers up a new wacky patent each month, and has been doing this since September, 1995. Some clear winners include the Device for Producing Dimples (1896), the Tapeworm Trap (1854), and the Apparatus for Facilitating the Birth of a Child by Centrifugal Force (1965). Definitely makes it easier to understand how Amazon got that "one-click" patent.
