Monthly GPRS Usage
I just got my T-Mobile bill -- the first one since getting my Treo 600 and switching over from Verizon. One thing that I noticed that I found quite interesting was a daily tally of my GPRS data usage.
It seems that my total for the month was 27.03 megabytes, with a single-day high of 3.12 MB and a low of 0.03 MB (what?! was I asleep all day again?!). Had someone asked me my predictions of these numbers, I don't even know what I would have guessed.
So how much wireless data do you chew through each month?
Posted by Craig | Permalink | TrackBackJust curious. What does that sort of bandwidth cost on T-Mobile?
Posted by Mitch at April 15, 2004 10:15 PM$19.99 per month for "unlimited" (although I'm sure that's not a literal label)
Posted by Craig at April 15, 2004 10:22 PMThe t-mobile discussion has me thinking about GSM and traveling in europe. Can you roam with your treo in europe? Can you use data there?

Posted by Craig at April 16, 2004 11:18 AMYou don't need to pay $19.99 for as much data as you want. I've had a Treo 600 since February and I haven't paid a single cent extra for data. If you login to your TMobile account (via their website), you should see "Included WAP Access: Free" under your current plan. If you don't see this, I've heard that all you have to do is call customer service to add it. However, free data is limited to the ports you can access (http, imap pop smtp, a few others). The $19.99 a month is for all ports.
Posted by Richard at April 17, 2004 09:09 PMI've been averaging about 80 MB/month on my Sprint Treo600. It's incredible that anyone can push so much data thru such a small pipe.
