Wanted: Small, Cheap LCD Screen
I'm looking for an LCD screen suitable for using as a low-res PC display in the 5" to 8" range. Something like this 7" Quixun panel would be ideal, but it doesn't have to be new or dedicated for this purpose. Maybe even a screen from a portable DVD player might work. It'd be great if it was also a touch-screen, but that's not a hard requirement.
Anybody have any leads for this or ideas where to search? Thanks in advance!
Posted by Craig | Permalink | TrackBackTry xenarc.com They're already shipping a 7" screen that looks almost exactly like the one Quixun just announced. The 700TSV model has vga input, 2 composite inputs, 800x480 res, high brightness for sun glare in automotive use, and a touchscreen via usb. I once heard their warranty only works if you buy through their site though.

Posted by x x at April 6, 2004 03:56 PMParts Express up in Springboro has a good selection in the 5-7" range. They go from $130-160 and their only drawback is that they are built for auto use so would need an AC/DC power supply.
