Mine is Bigger than Yours

Well I guess it had to happen. You can now have a cool terabyte of data in a single disk. The $1199 LaCie Bigger Disk is an unassuming beige box packing one TRILLION bytes of data accessible via USB 2.0, Firewire 400 or Firewire 800. Must...have...this...now!!!!!!!!

I'm wondering if anyone has figured how much it would cost to build a RAID array that equals 1 terabyte. I would like to see what that actually adds up to cost.

$828 for serial ata. That is assuming motherboard supports 4 sata drives otherwise need controler. So that drive isn't too over priced.
